The Allotment Diary: In Bloom

This week we were thin on the ground, but the sun was shining.  One thing that was very exciting was that many things are now in bloom, and we don’t mean listening to Nirvana.

In every bed there are new shoots, and the Skirret bed is now ready for it’s inhabitants!  There was even time to build the fence and make some flower beds.

But of course, how could we also forget more of the eternal weeding!  Sadly a few of vegetables had been ravaged by pigeons, although gratefully the slugs are sparse!  Silver linings.
