The Allotment Diary: Revenge of the Weeds [01/05/16]

The sun was shining this week and it actually felt like summer finally.  This joy was tempered somewhat though by … the weeds.  Back with vengeance, all our nice clear beds were again speckled with little green shoots.

Now that sun had dried the beds out nicely we were finally able to mix in the manure properly.  The soil was even dry enough to bring out the rotivator, which was kind of fun.  But then there was more weeding, and more manure (maybe candidates for a swear jar?) as the raspberry canes were prepped.

Things got terribly exciting though when we finally got to plant some seeds!  A little late, in go the broad beans.  Hopefully some non-winter weather does them good!
